Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway: new opportunities for development of science and business partnership

Abstract

The United Nations Organization invited Russian scientists to create a feasibility study for the project “Strengthening Cooperation for the Implementation of the Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway Project in East and North-East Asia”.

To fulfill the UN mandate, the Presidium of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences jointly with Vladivostok State University of Economics and Services and the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov have created a scientific consortium. The consortium will conduct research and create a feasibility study for the project. Organizations and companies of various economic sectors that will enter into a feasibility study will be able to receive commercial and highly technological benefits from participating in this project.
